Alfa Romeo has made a strong impression in the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study, with its vehicles earning top spots in key segments. The Alfa Romeo Giulia led the pack, clinching first place in the competitive compact premium car category.
The Italian brand's success wasn't limited to sedans. The newly introduced Alfa Romeo Tonale also made waves, securing an impressive third-place finish in the compact premium SUV segment. This double achievement underscores Alfa Romeo's growing appeal and its ability to deliver vehicles that resonate with discerning drivers.
Bill Kendell, senior vice-president of North America customer experience at Stellantis, commented on the results: "If you consider the broad range of vehicles that contributed to these results, it's clear that creativity is baked into our existence as a company. We know how to design and build engaging vehicles, so we're going to continue developing that knowledge in pursuit of products that are even more inspired."
The J.D. Power APEAL Study measures customer feedback on various attributes of current-model vehicles, from exterior styling to fuel efficiency. Alfa Romeo's strong performance in this study highlights the brand's commitment to delivering style, performance, and overall satisfaction to its customers.
While Alfa Romeo stole the spotlight, other Stellantis brands also made their mark in the study. The Jeep Wagoneer topped the large SUV segment, further cementing its position as a leader in its class. This achievement aligns with the Wagoneer's growing reputation for solid market value, as evidenced by its two-year streak in the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. ALG Residual Value Awards.
Ram continued its impressive run in the truck category, securing the second spot among mass-market brands for the fifth consecutive year. The Ram 1500 finished second in the large light-duty pickup segment, while the Ram 2500/3500 tied for second place among heavy-duty pickups.
These results demonstrate Stellantis's ability to create vehicles that resonate with consumers across various segments. From Alfa Romeo's premium offerings to Jeep's robust SUVs and Ram's dependable trucks, the company continues to deliver products that meet and exceed customer expectations.
As Alfa Romeo and its sister brands keep pushing the boundaries of innovation, there’s plenty for potential customers to get excited about in the future.
